Express Getaway

Arrive at Aswan Airport or train station. Neptune Tours representative meets you. Private transfer to your Nile cruise ship. Check in, enjoy a welcome drink and lunch on board. Afternoon excursion: visit the High Dam (modern engineering marvel) and the beautiful Philae Temple dedicated to goddess Isis – accessed by motorboat. Return to the ship. Evening: Captain’s welcome cocktail, dinner, and Nubian folklore show. Overnight in Aswan.

Morning sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek (crocodile god) and Horus the Elder. See the crocodile mummy museum. Continue sailing while enjoying sun deck views. Afternoon arrival in Edfu. Take a horse‑drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the best‑preserved cult temple in Egypt. Return to the ship. Evening: Galabeya Party – dress in traditional Egyptian robes (or borrow from the ship), enjoy live music, belly dancing, and a fun costume contest. Overnight sailing towards Luxor.

After breakfast, disembark in Luxor. Visit the West Bank: Valley of the Kings (3 royal tombs, including Ramses IV or Merenptah), the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut (Egypt’s only female pharaoh), and the Colossi of Memnon. Then private transfer to Luxor Airport for a short flight to Cairo (approx 1 hour) or directly connect to your international departure. Optional: if you’re flying home from Luxor, we arrange direct transfer. End of the express Nile weekend – maximum history in minimum time.
