DAY 1
🛬 Aswan Arrival – Check into a Traditional Nubian Guesthouse (Gharb Soheil)

Arrive at Aswan International Airport or train station. Neptune Tours representative greets you. Private transfer to the colorful Nubian village of Gharb Soheil, located on the west bank of the Nile. Check into a traditional Nubian guesthouse – enjoy beautifully painted rooms, domed ceilings, and a rooftop overlooking the river. Settle in, then take a welcome walk through the village to meet your hosts. Evening: traditional Nubian dinner prepared with family recipes. Overnight in Gharb Soheil.

🏛️ Nubian Museum & Local Family Lunch

After breakfast, cross the Nile by motorboat to Aswan city. Visit the Nubian Museum – winner of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. Explore exhibits on Nubian history, art, and the rescue of temples during the High Dam construction. See artifacts from prehistory to the Islamic era. Late morning: return to Gharb Soheil for an authentic lunch with a local Nubian family in their home. Learn how to make traditional bread (fiteer) and taste dishes like molokhia, bamia (okra stew), and fresh Nile fish. Afternoon free to relax or chat with your hosts. Overnight guesthouse.

Visit the ruins of the Temple of Khnum, the Nilometer (used to measure Nile flood levels), and the Aswan Museum. Stroll through the island’s Nubian villages. Afternoon free. Evening: Nubian music and dance night at a local cultural centre or your guesthouse – enjoy live performances of the simsimiyya (traditional lyre), drumming, and energetic clapping dances. You’ll be invited to join the dance. Traditional dinner included. Overnight Gharb Soheil.

DAY 4
🎨 Henna Tattoo Session & Handicraft Shopping (Local Artisans)

Morning: Henna tattoo session with a local Nubian artist. Choose from traditional geometric or floral designs (safe, natural henna). Learn about the symbolism of patterns used in weddings and festivals. After henna dries, visit the Nubian handicraft market in the village – shop for handmade baskets (folded from palm leaves), carved wooden masks, colorful shawls, beads, and pottery. Your guide helps with fair‑price bargaining. Lunch at a village café. Afternoon free to watch sunset from the guesthouse rooftop or take a swim in the Nile (safe area). Farewell dinner. Overnight.
